From Hobby to Passion: How I Fell in Love with Wine

Welcome to People of the Vine, where my passion for wine intertwines with my love for storytelling and education.

My path to this exciting (and delicious) venture has been a winding road through various industries and experiences, ultimately revealing my true passion for wine. Over the past couple of years, I've delved deep into the world of wine, leading wine tours across Italy post-college, earning my WSET Level II certification while working at a local winery in Denver, and honing my expertise with every glass and every encounter.

My journey with wine began long ago, during my days working at Isola, a charming Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of San Diego. It was there that I first fell in love with the artistry and complexity of wine. From studying abroad in Rome to leading wine tours right outside of the enchanting streets of Florence, Italy, my fascination with wine only grew. After college, I took a leap and moved to Italy, where I found myself immersed in the heart of Tuscany's wine culture. For two unforgettable years, I guided students studying abroad through the sun-kissed, abundant vineyards, forging connections with local wineries and sharing their stories.

It was there in the rolling hills of Tuscany, that I discovered the transformative power of wine – how it can make moments with friends (old and new) magical and paint memories with beauty.

Throughout my career, whether crafting compelling social media campaigns for clients or guiding wine newbies through Italy's rich wine heritage, I've learned the profound impact of storytelling in fostering connections and building communities.

And now, with People of the Vine, I embark on a new chapter, dedicated to sharing the rich tapestry of stories woven within the world of wine. From personal anecdotes to practical resources for both wine enthusiasts and casual sippers alike, my aim is to create a space where everyone can uncover the wonders and pleasures of wine.
